What does Felicity Solar sell in Nigeria?
Felicity Solar is a Chinese brand that sells a full solar kit in Nigeria: inverters, batteries, panels and charge controllers. The 5kVA range is wide for a reason. An Alaba dealer on Jiji listed a 48V IVEM at ₦500,000, while online stores list the same IVEM5048 at about ₦986,000 with delivery. Market prices often leave out delivery, installation and a stamped warranty card, so ask what is included. To compare Felicity with other brands at the same size, see our 5kVA inverter price guide and the full solar inverter price list.
One listing to check carefully: the SCCM8048 controller is sold as “80A”, but the seller’s spec sheet shows 45A maximum battery current. Read the spec sheet, not the product title.
Which Felicity inverter size do I need?
Add up the watts of everything that runs at the same time, then leave about 20–25% headroom. In practice, an inverter handles about 80% of its kVA rating as steady load, so a 5kVA inverter handles about 4,000W.
- 3kVA or 3.5kVA, 24V (IVEM, IVPS): up to about 2,400W. Example 2-bedroom flat: 2 fans (150W) + TV and decoder (150W) + fridge (150W) + lights (100W) + 2 laptops (120W) = 670W. That leaves plenty of room.
- 5kVA, 48V (IVEM5048): about 4,000W. That covers a 3-bedroom home with a freezer, a pumping machine and one 1HP AC, if they don’t all start at once.
- 7.5kVA to 10kVA, 48V: about 6,000–8,000W, for duplexes, small offices and homes running two ACs.

Are Felicity lithium batteries worth the money?
For most homes that get only a few hours of NEPA supply, yes. A 48V 100Ah pack stores 51.2V × 100Ah = 5.12kWh. At 90% depth of discharge, that is about 4.6kWh you can use. A 500W evening load (fans, TV, lights and a fridge) runs for about 9 hours on one pack.
Four 220Ah tubular batteries cost less at first, about ₦840,000 to ₦1,540,000, but you should only use about half their capacity. They also need topping up with distilled water and usually last 3 to 5 years. Check the cycle rating on whichever Felicity pack you are offered: Nigerian listings show more than 6,000 cycles for the LPBA series but more than 3,000 for the LPBF 10kWh. For battery prices across all brands, see our solar battery price guide. For how Felicity ranks against Deye, Pylontech and others, see best solar batteries in Nigeria.
What warranty does Felicity give, and where are the service centres?
Felicity’s 2026 warranty policy gives these periods:
- IVEM, IVPM, IVPS and IVCM off-grid inverters: 2 years.
- IVGM hybrid inverters: 10 years (5 years full cover, then free inspections).
- LPBA lithium: up to 10 years. The policy says repairs in years 8–10 are free in Nigeria. Nigerian stores currently advertise 5 years, so get the period written on your receipt.
- LPBF lithium: 5 years. Gel batteries: 1 year. SCCM controllers: 2 years.
Felicity Nigeria lists service centres in Lagos (Alaba and Amuwo-Odofin), Abuja (Garki International Market), Port Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar, Asaba, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Jos and Maiduguri. A warranty only counts if the dealer writes the serial number and installation date on your receipt or warranty card.
How do I spot a fake or refurbished Felicity product?
- Price check: be wary of anything far below the ranges above, especially lithium packs.
- Serial numbers: the serial on the unit should match the box and the receipt. Call Felicity Nigeria (+234 817 147 9561) to confirm before you pay.
- Panel size: a genuine 540W Felicity panel is 2,279 × 1,134mm and weighs 27.3kg. A smaller panel labelled “540W” is mislabelled.
- Date codes: on tubular batteries, check the manufacture date. Stock more than six months old may already have lost charge.
- Load test: in open markets, ask for a test under load before payment.
What are the pros and cons of Felicity Solar?
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Sold almost everywhere, from Alaba to Abuja and PH | Only 2 years’ warranty on the popular IVEM/IVPM/IVPS inverters |
| Service centres in at least 11 states | Big price gaps between market and online sellers |
| Full kit from one brand: inverter, battery, panels, controller | Some listings mix up specs (titles vs spec sheets) |
| LPBA lithium rated for 6,000+ cycles | Monitoring is more basic than Growatt or Deye apps |
| Usually cheaper than Deye or Victron at the same size | LPBF 10kWh rated for fewer cycles than LPBA |
Is Felicity better than Growatt or Luminous?
Felicity wins on availability and local service. Growatt gives a longer inverter warranty and a better monitoring app. Luminous is strongest in tubular batteries and smaller inverter-UPS units. If you want one brand for the whole system and a service centre in your state, Felicity is a safe choice.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a Felicity 5kVA inverter in Nigeria?
The 48V IVEM5048 costs about ₦500,000 to ₦1,000,000, depending on the seller and what is included. The transformerless IVQM5048 costs about ₦1,100,000 to ₦1,210,000.
How much is the Felicity 10kWh lithium battery?
About ₦2,150,000 to ₦2,900,000 for the 51.2V LPBF48200. Confirm the cycle rating and warranty with the seller before buying.
Can a Felicity inverter run on a generator?
Yes. Felicity’s IVEM inverters accept mains or generator input, and the IVPM series supports generator auto start/stop. Use a generator with a stable output so the inverter doesn’t keep rejecting the input.
Do Felicity panels work with other inverters?
Yes. Panels are not brand-locked. Match the panel voltage to your charge controller or inverter’s PV input range. See our solar panel price guide to compare other brands.
